  Alles wat je vindt, zal ik proberen recht te zetten. Ik denk dat hij twee keer op een foto is voorgekomen (zonder band). De andere zouden hetzelfde moeten zijn. Ik zal het even rechtzetten.. In dit geval maakt MM er ook een behoorlijk potje van. Waarschijnlijk omdat de Captain er op zijn albums ook een potje van maakte.

  ‘his’ is met de jaren geëvolueerd naar ‘the’. Later ook platen zonder M.B.
  Nu weet Blogman dit (gezien zijn muzieksmaak) als geen ander.

  Persoonlijk vind ik vindbaarheid (via zoek) belangrijker dan juistheid. Eénduidigheid helpt daar zeker bij !

  Vindbaarheid heeft mij daarom ook doen kiezen voor & His Magic Band. & vanweg mogelijke latere preciezere naamsplitsingen. Dus & altijd tussen de artiest en een andere artiest. In dit geval ook maar omdat de naam niet altijd hetzelfde is.

  Ik denk dat vooral eenduidig hoofdletter- en accent-gebruik in de belangrijke zoektermen (‘Captain’, ‘Beefheart’, ‘Magic Band’) van belang zijn bij het zoeken. ‘The’ of ‘&’ als zoekterm is nooit handig.

  Als men als hint geeft hoevaak een artiest is geweest steekt het nauwer, als je daarbij de lijst gebruikt.

  Ja bij dat soort hints moet je altijd oppassen. Even op meerdere manieren tellen: zoeken én in de lijst kijken. & is een mooie separator, vandaar het gebruik daarvan.
